The ARCS Skipper Service
ARCS Skipper is the leisure version of the world renowned
Admiralty Raster Chart Service.
Can be run on a standard Laptop PC. No expensive outlay on
a single-use item. A PC is fast becoming an essential tool on
board and can be used for a wealth of other purposes, such as
communication, downloading weather information, keeping the ships
log or acting as a remote office.
Real time navigation. Link the laptop to your CPS and watch
your vessel track across the chart. Knowing exactly where you are
at all times offers improved safety and the freedom to enjoy your
cruising or concentrate on racing. This also allows power boats to
track their course across the chant taster and to look further
ahead, making travel at speed much safer.
Updating freedom. Unlike many other electronic charting
packages available today, ARCS Skipper enables you to update your
chants. By subscribing to the update service, you have the freedom
to automatically update your portfolio of chants whenever you want
over a 12 month period.
Flexible Planning. having all charts on a laptop computer
enables easy route planning both at home and at sea.
Flexible Purchasing. With the ARCS Skipper Service, you are
given an area CD containing every Admiralty chart for a given
area, (Mediterranean and Black Sea for example). The codes are
then provided to unlock the particular charts you have purchased.
This means you can carry an entire portfolio of Admiralty charts
at all times and unlock additional charts with a quick phone call
to your chart agent. Complete freedom and flexibility to explore
or get fast access to additional charts in an emergency.
Admiralty data and cartography. Every ARCS chart is produced
to the Admiralty's exceptional standards of quality and accuracy,
enabling you to navigate with complete confidence.
Chart quality and clarity. Produced directly from the
digitally held chart bases, ARCS charts offer unparalleled clarity

information to switch on or off. Our professional cartographers
and experienced navigators decide what information is required on

Up to date. All ARCS charts are sold fully up to date at
the point of purchase.
Freedom of choice. At the UKHC our expertise is in
producing the very highest quality and most accurate charts. Any
functionality in terms of navigational tools comes from separate
navigational software. This is a key benefit as it gives customers
