1978, Thomas Gunn Navigation Services was formed as a private family
owned company and this remains the case to the present day. Back in
the early days the main activity was compass adjusting, whilst carrying
out this work many requests were received for the supply of charts
and publications. As a result an application to become an official
Admiralty distributor was prepared and subsequently approved by the
United Kingdom Hydrographic Office. After a short period of time local
market dominance was achieved and this was then taken forward to both
a National and International level.
Today, Thomas Gunn Navigation Services Ltd is a strong and successful company with a sound
asset and financial base, large international client base and recognition
as one of the world's largest Chart Agents. As part of this growth,
a second office has recently been opened in Piraeus, Greece. This
office is a replica of our UK office and trades under the name Poly
Thomas Gunn Navigation Services SA.
