The Digital Products Department can advise on the most appropriate products available
to meet your particular requirements. Our scope of supply includes both hardware
and software for the display of digital charts, supply of both official and un-official
digital charts and nautical publications.
Our team of advisors are also available to assist to advise the exact options necessary
to meet a vessels Flag State requirements in respect to electronic navigation. Thomas
Gunn Navigation Services have assisted several key customers with the adoption of
paperless navigation, including preparation of risk assessment documentation, compilation
of combined electronic and paper chart folios and final submission to the official
authorities.
Once the electronic chart and publication coverage has been agreed our advisors
ensure that the required permits are issued to the vessel in the most efficient
manner, in the majority of case via direct e-mail service. We also ensure that both
the vessel and/or office are advised in advance of any licence expiry dates to ensure
uninterrupted access to the electronic charts etc.
We also operate a 24 hour/365 day emergency support for digital products to ensure
that in the event of emergency, vessels have access to the latest available charts
etc.
