Developed in conjunction with the RYA - the world's leading provider of training courses for recreational and professional boating, the Admiralty RYA Chart Plotter uses the same interface as the RYA Yachtmaster Training Programme.

Designed with ease of use in mind, the straightforward software makes the Admiralty RYA Chart Plotter an ideal introduction to electronic navigation. The programme is designed to run on the following Microsoft Windows Operating Systems: NT Version 4, Service Pack 4, 2000, XP and Windows Vista. Note: the CD must be in the drive whilst the software is in use.

Minimum Functional Spec PC with 200Mhz Processor, 64Mb free RAM (128Mb recommended), CD ROM, 300 Mb Free Disk Space (for Software and one Folio), 16 Bit Colour Display. For best performance, 500Mhz Processor or faster and 128Mb of free RAM.

Real Time Navigation: The Admiralty RYA Chart Plotter allows Real Time navigation when linked to a GPS. The Chart Plotter will interface via the PCs serial port with an NMEA output coming from a GPS Receiver. Suitable Driver software or additional serial to USB adaptor may be necessary. GPS and cables not included. New for 2008: ability to interface with Garmin GPS.

No Expiry! Charts in the 2008 Edition do not expire. To update, simply purchase the 2009 Edition. New tidal data can be downloaded for the following year at www.admiraltyleisure.co.uk. Product Specification

PC ChartPlanner for Windows is a sophisticated electronic charting program using the World-renowned British Admiralty ARCS Electronic Charts. Designed for anyone wanting an accurate plotting and voyage planning facility such as Harbour Authorities, Fleet Manager's, and Surveyors. Files produced by PC Chartplanner are compatible with our PC Seamaster onboard system. Multiple plotting positions and comments can be stored and retrieved. Multiple "overlays" can be made for surveying and customisation.

Program functions available include:

CHART DISPLAY - Clear Display of ARCS Charts with Day, Dusk and Night time display colours. Rapid Chart scrolling, Chart Details, Chart correction status, Chart Datum status.

OVERLAYS - Multiple transparent "overlays" can be made for surveying and customisation, using 50 inbuilt icons and 50 icons which you can define yourself. All overlay icons can have comments and numbers attached to them and can be dropped on the Chart or entered from co-ordinates.

VOYAGE PLANNING - Creation of multiple Voyage plan files, with comments. Each voyage file contains the Waypoints for the voyage and the course between Waypoints can be set to be Rhumb Line, Great Circle or Composite Great Circle sailing. Voyage files can be easily viewed, edited or added to. The calculated voyage display shows the course(s) and distances between each pair of Waypoints and the ETA at each Waypoint for an entered speed. The calculated voyage plan can be printed or output to a text file.

SAILINGS - Rhumb line sailings. Great Circle sailing. Composite Great Circle sailing. Find Position. (D.R Position). Course & Speed made good. Course to Steer.

TIDAL PREDICTIONS - Memory of all data for tidal predictions. Selection of any Time zone by the user, irrespective of the Port's zone. Inbuilt Tidal data for over 600 European Ports. You can add your own Ports for anywhere in the World. Calculation of Tidal heights at any entered Port for any date from 1900 to 2090. Output of Heights in Metres or Feet. Graphic display of the tidal height curve for 2 days with moving cursor and Draught line. Real time graphic display of the tidal height curve with moving cursor; automatically updated from the computer's clock and calendar. Prediction of High and Low water times and heights for 2-31 days. Output of Tidal heights at 6 minute intervals for 2 days. Find nearest Port function & Rapid search function for Port name.

SEAtrak ARCS is the ultimate in ARCS systems for use on small and large crafts. Designed to be simple to use yet rich in features, SEAtrak ARCS makes real time navigation quicker, safer and more accurate than ever before.

It links directly to your GPS navigator and displays your position, in real time on the ARCS chart turning your PC or laptop into a powerful, full colour, chart plotter.

This chart plotter requires licensed ARCS charts to be of functional use. You may use your existing ARCS charts and future charts purcased by an Admiralty Agent (such as Meridian) and be assured of compatibility as Meridian are the devlopers of the original official UKHO/RYA chart plotters and are listed on the Amiralty site as suppliers of ARCS reading software.

Compatible with Windows XP, Vista and 7.

Cost and Availability

SEAtrak uses ARCS charts, so you need to purchase at least one folio (10 charts) to get you started, see ARCS Charts for more details.

As with all quality software SEAtrak is dongle protected with a DESkey dongle. SEAtrak will not run with out one of these devices and they are available in Serial, USB or PCMCIA (PC card for a laptop) formats. They do not effect any other software or devices attached to the PC. OFFICEtrak RCDS

Works with all UK Hydrographic Office Admiralty ARCS charts and is network capable with additional user licences purchasable. System can be integrated with REMOTEtrak for multi vessel monitoring.

Offers three printing options:

SEAtrak UK (non ARCS, charts and tides included)

SEAtrak UK provides all the features of a a fully integrated chart plotting system (with over 800charts plus tidal data for UK and Ireland, with tidal height and stream data displayed graphically as well as in other ways,) for passage planning for both inshore and offshore navigation. The system can be installed onshore and routes and way points created can be transferred to your computer for use on the boat (as two user licences are approved as standard). You can create waypoints by simple clicking on the chart and even download them to your GPS. Existing Meridian and Imray charts can be read but not those in ARCS format (if you require an ARCS Chart Plotter you should consider purchasing SEAtrak ARCS or OFFICEtrak ARCS).

The system is fully upgradeable and you can but additional add-ons such wreck infomation.
