In 1978, Thomas Gunn Navigation Services was formed as a private family owned company
and this remains the case to the present day. Back in the early days the main activity
was compass adjusting, whilst carrying out this work many requests were received
for the supply of charts and publications. As a result an application to become
an official Admiralty distributor was prepared and subsequently approved by the
United Kingdom Hydrographic Office. After a short period of time local market dominance
was achieved and this was then taken forward to both a National and International
level.
Today, Thomas Gunn Navigation Services Ltd is a strong and successful company with
a sound asset and financial base, large international client base and recognition
as the world's largest paper chart and digital supplier.
As part of this growth, a sixth office is opening in Signapore complementing our offices in Aberdeen, London, Greece, Turkey and Canada.
